Popo story from S. Adams

S. Adams sent the following,

In march of this year my dad and I traveled to Puebla, Mexico to visit with friends that live in that city. One of the places that they took us was to Popocatepetl for a picnic on the mountain. It was a very memorable experience. From their house that morning before we left you could see that snow had fallen on the summit the night before. When we were at the area chosen for the picnic, ash and sand were falling from the air. When we got back to Puebla you could see that the side of the volcano was dark from the fallout. Hope my friends are far enough away if there are any major problems. My young sons want me to take them to Mexico to climb to the top of Popocatepetl someday, don't know if that would be such a great idea right now. maybe we should just watch from a distance. I have a few photos of the volcano if any one would be interested.
