When was the most resent volcano that eruped?

When was the most resent volcano that eruped that you know of and whats its name and where?

Dear Caitlin,

The most recent eruptions we know of are Komaga-take in Japan and Popocatepetl in Mexico. Both eruptions started on March 5, 1996.
