Is it safe to visit Montserrat? I am planning a week long visit
shortly. What is your recommendation?

Dear Gregg,
The flow of information out of Montserrat stopped on September 6. The
last report had citizens returning to their homes. Without any reports I
can not say what conditions are on the island. Even during the eruption,
people were safely evacuated (but this would not be the way to spend your
vacation). I would guess that no news is good news. But play it safe
and call someone on the island.
