What is maximum ground distance that lava can flow from an erupting volcano?

rocky Graham Wright

Graham -

Many lava flows are just a few kilometers long, but some - like those on Mauna Loa, Hawaii - are tens of km long. The longest flows generally noted are in Australia and Iceland where flows up to 150 km have been described. On the Moon and Mars much longer lava flows have been measured, including some nearly 1000 km (600 miles) long!
