Pele is taken very seriously in Hawaii. People make routine offerings. Some people claim to be direct descendents. (Pele was an actual person who sailed to Hawaii, probably from the island of Bora-bora, in about the 13th century. Later, she was deified.)

I have not had much success in finding anything specific about the Norse gods associated with volcanic eruptions. Could you give me some detailed information?
