How often do volcanos erupt?

Dear Joe,
In an average year about 20-25 volcanoes erupt. I'd guess that about
10-15 might be erupting right now. Some volcanoes, like Kilauea and
Sakurajima, erupt nearly constantly. To see a list volcanoes that erupted
