Where could I find a database online of eruptions for the past century?

rocky Phil

Hi Phil,

I don't know of any such on-line list. By far the best database on volcanoes and eruptions is at the Global Volcanism Network of the Smithsonian Institution. They have just published this information in "Volcanoes of the World" by Tom Simkin and Lee Seibert. As far as I know, however, they haven't put the thing on line (nobody would buy the book). You might try contacting the Smithsonian to find out if you can get a digital version.

Good luck with your search,

Sincerely,

Scott Rowland
