what will happen to the animals on the island do they all die???

Dear Hansueli,
I'm afraid I don't know what island you're talking about. In general, if an
island volcano has a huge eruption it is possible for it to kill off most of
the
larger animals and birds, but some of the insects and microbes may survive. As
long as the island has neighbors and the rainfall is plentiful (such as in
tropical places), it won't take very long for new animals and birds to colonize
the island.
