What effect will the current volcanic eruption on Iceland have upon
the Vatnajokull glacier?

Dear Peter,
The Nordic Volcanology Inst's homepage - that we link to in our
report on the current Icelandic activity - discusses previous similar
eruptions. For past historic eruption a collapse occurs on the top of
glacier as ice on its botttom is melted away. This time seems to be
similar.
