Would the world be better off without volcanoes? I have to answer this question for an essay - I have some ideas, but any suggestions would be gratefully recieved!

No way. I doubt if we'd be here. Volcanoes created the ocean and atmosphere. Without water and a protective atmosphere life probably would have never evolved on the planet.
