Where and when did the last volcano erupt?

Volcanoes erupt every day someplace on Earth. Stromboli volcano near
southern Italy is erupting this very minute, as are less famous
continually active volcanoes in Ethiopia, Indonesia and elsewhere. The
last big eruption was at Rabaul in Papua New Guinea and at Kluichevskoi,
Russia, both last year. The next big eruption will be.....we don't know
where!
