Black Tusk is very black in the crater in its cone are you sure it is extinct?

rocky Br Nadeau

Dear Br,

Black Tusk, an andesite stratovolcano in the Garibaldi Lake volcanic field of Canada, was active from 1.3 million to 170,000 years ago. It is heavily dissected by glaciers. The most recent activity at this volcanic field was 110,000 years ago. Black Tusk will not erupt again. However, it is possible for a new eruption to build a new volcano in the volcanic field, perhaps adjacent to or on top of Black Tusk.
