Where is the Ring of Fire?

rocky Reader

Hi Reader,

The Ring of Fire is a metaphor used to describe the volcanism around much of the Pacific Basin. Roughly, it extends along the east, north and west boundaries of the Pacific---where there are numerous volcanoes. Obviously, it is the natural fire of the volcanoes around the Pacific Basin that gave rise to the term "Ring of Fire."

Sincerely,
John Dvorak
