Koryaksky
Location: 53.3N, 168.7E
Elevation: 11,335 feet (3,456 m)
Koryaksky is a stratovolcano on the Kamchatka peninsula. Koryaksky
erupted in 1895, 1926, and 1956. The most recent eruption was at the
summit an upper northwest flank of the volcano. It was explosive (VEI=3)
and produced pyroclastic flows. Photograph by Jack Lockwood, U.S.
