Rinjani, Lombok Island, Indonesia

Rinjani is a stratovolcano with twelve known eruptions between 1847 and 1966. Most eruptions are small to moderate (VEI=1-2) in size and explosive. This photo from the Space Shuttle looks to the south. Bali is to west (right) of Lombok. Shuttle photo STS068-0266-0015.
