Video Summary of the Current Eruption (Grades 7-8)
Several excellent videos have been made about the current eruption.
Most of the videos listed at the end of this lesson in Useful Materials
are for sale in bookstores in Hawaii or from the
Hawaii Natural History Association.
The monthly
Eruption Update video produced by John Kjargaard is an excellent way to
prepare for a visit to the park. If possible, preview the video before
showing it to your class. Define and describe unfamiliar words or events
with your students. After the video, ask them what they learned or use
