Activity 4. Recent Eruptions (Grades 7-8)
Dozens of volcanoes erupt in a typical year. As a class project, keep a record of these eruptions. Collect newspaper clippings, magazine articles, and video (from television reports). Classify the eruption, using the information in this lesson. Place the location of each volcano/eruption on a world map. Compare volumes and explosivity.
